12 Burgers to Choose From

one great view!

The Breakers Restaurant has been an iconic landmark on Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, Florida since the 1900’s. Surrounded by white sandy beaches and rolling ocean waves, it is a destination loved by locals and tourists alike.

With a desire for a warmer climate and an interest in relocating their corporate offices to Florida, the McKenney family acquired The Breakers Restaurant in 1990. Upon ownership of the restaurant, the McKenney’s set to work revamping the interior and exterior of the building. Gone was the brick façade and dimly lit interior. After many months of construction, The Breakers was completely renovated allowing a more scenic view of the ocean and a generous seating area around the bar. Modeling after popular Florida color schemes, the building was painted a bright pink standing out against the beautiful backdrop of the white sandy beaches!

The Breakers is one of the original buildings on Historic Flagler Avenue with gorgeous views of New Smyrna Beach. Whether you decide to watch a sports game, take a break from the sand & surf, or just get a great meal and hang out with friends, this is one location unique to all of Central Florida you shouldn’t miss!

Seaside bar crawl in New Smyrna Beach

“We had our eyes set on Flagler Avenue, the popular main drag of New Smyrna Beach – specifically, burger-and-beer stalwart. The Breakers (518 Flagler Ave.) at the beach end of the avenue strip. Not only would I highly recommend this beach shack’s tasty burgers, but I also suggest ordering a drink (in my case, a piña colada) and then grabbing a stool along the wall facing the beach for prime people-watching.”
